About "Miss Stitch" herself: Kerri Hurtado
Kerri Hurtado, like so many craft practitioners, learned to make things by hand from her mother. Growing up, she learned to knit, crochet, sew, make cards and more. Upon entering college, an initial interest in fine art and painting gave way to a broader spectrum of exploration in the Creative Arts, which meant making, sharing and talking about art.

Today, Kerri lives and works in the art world of San Francisco. By day, she's an art consultant and curator. By night, she tends to her hand-made greeting card company, Love, Miss Stitch. Kerri's inspired by glitter, sequins, vintage objets d'art, printed fabrics and other bits and pieces she happens upon. She gravitates toward iconic images of femininity, but embellishes them with modern sensibility. She also loves all things Latino, especially her husband Arturo, a Nicaraguan native.
